COMMONWEALTH Golf shop E-News
Dear Members,
Welcome to another edition of the Golf Shop E-news. It has been an exciting time around the Club, welcoming back some of our favourite Club events and seeing all the smiling faces of those walking off the new golf course. The golf operations team would also like to thank the membership for their continued support and patience throughout this busy time.
In this edition of the Golf Shop E-News:

course care - bunker rakes
With many of us finding a few new spots around the course, we would like to kindly remind everyone of the Club’s bunker rake placement. Unfortunately, the golf operations team has been receiving a lot of negative feedback regarding the positioning of rakes inside our bunkers.
Rakes are to be placed as close to the base of the bunker, positioned so that the head of the rake is facing towards the direction of place. Rakes are NOT to be left outside of the bunker or on the bunker faces.
It is also important that members take caution when raking bunkers, as many are being left unattended or half heartedly raked. Members are encouraged to kindly make their playing partners aware of any improvements that can be made surrounding etiquette.
used golf ball barrel
Like most golfers, we tend to have a stash of old, tattered golf balls taking up storage in our garage or golf bags. As some members may have seen, there is now a repurposed wine barrel situated outside the front of the golf shop.
Members are encouraged to donate their unwanted golf balls using this barrel, to which they will be recycled by a third party, and in return, revenue proceeds will be used to help support Commonwealth’s junior programs and update junior equipment offerings.
Kindest Regards,
Lachlan Kenny
Director of Golf
